Why enzymes?
Live bacterial cultures and free enzymes digests organic waste and odors
The Odor-EndZyme formulation is not a mask or cover up. It is an odor counteractant that selectively filters out a broad spectrum of malodors allowing only the pleasant odors to be perceived. This filtering effect eliminates perceived odor problems from the environment and replaces them with a fresh clean scent.
Odor-EndZyme is effective because it utilizes High Activity Bacteria (HAB) cultures. Our friendly HAB's have been genetically engineered - “pumped up” - to out-perform competitive products. When you use Odor-EndZyme the life bacterial cultures and “free” enzymes immediately digest organic waste and odors on contact.
In fact, Odor-EndZyme is the only “free” enzyme that goes to work immediately. Since dormant bacteria take time to begin working, Odor-EndZyme is specially formulated with “free”, ready to work enzymes that break down organic matter on contact.
BACKGROUND BACTERIA, living one cell microorganisms, are present throughout our environment. Bacteria can be either disease causing (pathogenic) or “friendly” (non-pathogenic). However, we are only concerned with friendly bacteria who help degrade waste, control odors and remove stains. In essence, the bacteria cultures are “eating machines” whose sole purpose is to decompose and digest organic matter.
All bacteria must eat to stay alive. However, unlike human, bacteria do not have mouths or teeth with which to eat. Therefore, bacteria produce ENZYMES which break down organic waste into liquids that can then be absorbed by the bacteria. Subsequently the bacteria convert the absorbed liquids into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) which are harmless to the environment. Enzymes are actually catalysts which initiate the chemical processes involved in digestion.
Contrary to popular misconception, neither bacteria nor their enzyme secretions are miniature PACMEN gobbling up organic dots of waste. Rather, bacteria are like sponges that absorb organic waste which has been liquified by enzymes.
After a short period of feeding on liquified waste matter, each bacteria subdivide into two identical and fully functional duplicates of the original. This “replication” process will continue as long as an adequate food source exists to fuel the process. Increased bacteria count means increased enzymatic activity which results in faster decomposition and digestion of organic waste.
The role of bacteria is to eliminate organic waste and consequent odors. They are ideally used for odor control, stain removal, cleaning action, and drain and trap maintenance. Compared to some of the caustic and potentially harmful chemicals currently used, bacteria and their workhorse enzymes secretions are safe to use, safe for the environment and are exempt from governmental regulation.
After owning a carpet cleaning business for over 19 years now, we have never found any other product that works as well as Odor-EndZyme for odor elimination. Our customers are profoundly happy with this product and we felt we had to share it with others.
